Happy Full Harvest Moon / Friday the 13th

Having a full moon on Friday the 13th is rare. It will not happen again for 30 years.

I went out and caught the moon rising over the tree tops and through the light clouds. It was around 7:30 pm. I was hoping to get some shots down by the river – but when I was about to head leave my car and walk the short distance to Dustin Island – a car passed me and then pulled over and just stayed there. I didn’t like that – not knowing what they were up to – so I put the tripod and my camera back in the car and drove down the road and pulled over in a parking lot close to the main road and snapped the shots. I would have been braver if I were not alone. It was just getting dark – and I always try to be very aware of my surroundings.

Even though – I wasn’t taking the shots where I intended – but I am happy with the results.

I love “shooting the moon.” Have a great evening!
