Sunday mornings, I usually bring my mom to 8:00 mass and then have a nice breakfast with her. We have been in Stay-at-Home mode for over a month so mass is watched on television on Sunday morning. Also – no yummy breakfast with my mother.
I decided to make myself a couple coddled eggs on toast this morning. It was a change from scrambled or fried eggs. I used the hand painted lizard plate that my sister-in-law made for me some years ago. (I love lizards.) To my surprise, when I cracked open the first egg – two eggs yolks appeared. I thought that was cool.
The eggs were yummy, and it is a bright sunny day. The sky is a crisp blue with no clouds in sight. It is supposed to be in the 60s today! Yesterday was snowing and gloomy. The snow did not stick around Boscawen area. What a difference a day makes. I will have to go out for a local drive today to see if there are any photo ops. I stay close to home and usually do not even get out of my car. Maybe it will be warm enough that the eaglet(s) in the local nest will make an appearance. I can’t wait to see if there is only one chic or multiple.
I try to amuse myself during these weird times. I Facetime friends and family which bring them closer together. I regularly check on my mom – but we keep our distance. I walk her dog so I get a bit of exercise too. I need to get on the exercycle more as well. Oddly enough – I have lost a little weight during this seclusion. Most likely due to the fact that I do not regularly go to stores and make unwise food choices. Goodies are very limited.
That is all for now. Stay Safe and Stay Well!
