The Snow Tires Are Off – Spring is Really Here!

DSC_4143

The grass is green, and the birds and bees are out and about. This past Saturday, I even mowed my mom’s lawn! The grass was getting deep in some area. It is important to keep the grass short – ticks love to visit the deep grass! I have already had one of those vile things latched on to me! UGH! Luckily – it had not been on my long, and it was a big tick so I spotted it right away. It was given a live burial at sea (aka FLUSHED it!). They are saying that it is going to be a bad tick year here! Double Ugh!

Eagle Update: The local pair has moved their nest a few trees or so south of their old nest. I have not seen it yet – but I have heard the babies have hatched and all is well.

The chipmunks are out an about too. I love chipmunks. They are beyond cute!

I am hoping that soon we will be able to have the first fire pit of the season soon! We are in a rainy patch right now.

Enjoy the Spring and May the 4th Be With You!
